HIS LOVING HANDS
While I was in ICU I was hooked up to every machine that was possible. The only way that my family knew that I was still alive was from the heart monitor noise. One day I moved my arm and knocked out the trachea tube and started crying. Since I was the youngest person in the unit, my parents knew that it was their son crying and that I was going to be alright. After this happened I had to relearn everything. I had to go through years of speech and physical therapy. After the accident I had to walk with braces on my legs and I used a cane to help me walk straighter. One of these days I will be able to place these aids on the stack of the handicapped equipment that will be destroyed.
Before I accepted Christ as my personal savior I worried about how I walked and my life was empty. I sometimes wondered why GOD would let one of HIS children get hurt like I did. The reason that I think GOD let me get in this condition is to glorify HIM. The day when I am healed I can throw these walking devises into the eternal fire.
Matthew 7:13-14 talks about the two roads. The narrow road leads to eternal life and the broad road leads to destruction. The road that I was traveling on was leading me to destruction. Then, one day, I heard the Holy Spirit speaking to me. I heard a voice saying Patrick you are on the wrong road. After I heard this I decided to make a U turn and get on the right road that leads to eternal life. I would like to leave you something to think about. Matthew 7:13-14 talks about the two roads. If you are on the wrong road GOD does allow HIS children to make U turns.

One day, a man went to visit a church. He arrived early, parked his car, and got out. Another car pulled up near him, and the driver told him, "I always park there. You took my place!" The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated,   "That's my seat! You took my place!" The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing. After Sunday School, the visitor went into the church sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, "That's where I always sit. You took my place!" The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still said nothing.
Later, as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them,
the visitor stood, and his appearance began to change.
Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet.
Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out,
"What happened to you?" The visitor replied, "I took your place."
